Hello, I currently work in Iraq and am considering starting fresh somewhere new and different when I return to the states. I am originally from the DC area and love it aside from the high cost of living. I want to open my own business but everything there in DC is so expensive! I also bought a home in Topeka, KS for my mother but it is too dull there and I could not see myself settling down there. Both places also have extremely cold and rather long winters. I will be in my mid 20s by time I move and be with my wife. Here are the main things I am looking for by relocating; Decent weather for most of the year Nice homes in the 100-150K range Good population size (prefer a metro area) with business opportunity Nightlife scene with options of places to eat, drink and dance College near by where my wife can finish her masters Good schools for future children and opportunity for employment I am sure there are many other things to consider that I am not accounting for. So far I am trying to decide between Austin, San Antonio and Fort Worth in Texas as well as Phoenix and Scottsdale in Arizona. Any suggestions would be appreciated!... Read More »
